Data Analysis Cuts CO2

MaxMine launched MaxMine Carbon, a data analysis tool, which, the company reported, will enable users to reduce carbon emissions by more than 10% with minimal additional expenditures. The system collects and analyzes data and then offers solutions to reduce carbon emissions and improve productivity in load-and-haul operations. It captures
up to 10,000 times more data than standard fleet management systems, Mine- Max said.

During trials, miners reduced carbon emissions by at least 10% in one month. The system enables users to quantify emissions savings for sustainability reports. Also, during trials, miners “experienced an average payload increase of 7%,” the supplier said. The solution can pay for itself in 12 weeks from fuel savings alone. MineMax Carbon was a winner at the Extreme Tech Challenge Australia for data analytics proficiency.
