ANDRITZ Unveils MiningMaster ME4 for Advanced Tailings Dewatering

ANDRITZ has introduced the MiningMaster ME4, a new filter press designed for tailings dewatering in the mining and minerals sector. Building on a proven overhead filter press concept, the system addresses industry demands for higher throughput, shorter cycle times, and improved water recovery. Engineered to manage larger volumes of mine residues, the MiningMaster ME4 supports safer disposal and dry stacking of tailings.

The filter press features an extended filtration area, enabling volumes of up to 60,000 litres per machine. Design innovations such as a split beam and linked plate system allow faster discharge of filter plates and efficient cloth washing. These refinements improve operational efficiency and adaptability for applications including iron ore, copper, and aluminium processing. Additional advantages include streamlined handling of filter elements and a modular design for capacity scaling. Further information is available on the company’s website.

“The MiningMaster ME4 represents a major leap forward in filtration performance. By combining mechanical innovation with intelligent automation, we are helping our customers set new benchmarks in efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility.” said Mario Gerards, Industry Director Minerals and Mining at ANDRITZ.
