Eriez® has announced that its Executive Vice President of Global Technology, Michael (Mike) J. Mankosa, Ph.D., has been inducted into Virginia Tech’s Academy of Engineering Excellence. The company says this honor recognizes Mankosa’s contributions to the engineering profession, including his work in minerals processing and advanced separation technologies.
Mankosa is among a select group of fewer than 200 alumni inducted into the Academy since its founding in 1999, chosen from more than 82,000 living graduates of Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering. A graduate of the university with three degrees in Mining and Minerals Engineering, Mankosa has led research and innovation efforts at Eriez for decades.
“Mike's passion for innovation and steadfast commitment to engineering excellence have not only helped to drive Eriez' success, but also inspired countless colleagues and helped shape the broader mining industry. As a fellow Virginia Tech graduate, I couldn't be more excited to see the university recognize Mike's extraordinary contributions to the engineering field.” said Jaisen Kohmuench, President and CEO of Eriez.
