Comacchio Updates MC 22 with New Features

Comacchio has introduced the latest version of its MC 22 drilling rig, previously known as the MC 1200, with upgrades that improve performance, modularity, and operator interface. First presented at the Comacchio Open House in 2024 and later shown at bauma 2025, the redesigned rig is positioned by Comacchio as a key product in its offering. The updated MC 22 is powered by a Stage V engine rated between 180 and 205 kW and includes an upgraded hydraulic system to increase overall drilling capacity.

Comacchio adds that the machine now supports a wider range of rotary heads, offers torque outputs up to 5000 daNm, and features complete modularity, allowing it to be adapted for different drilling applications. Operator interaction has also been updated with a new control panel, improved radio control with display, and remote monitoring through the ComNect system. The updates are intended to lower fuel consumption and improve environmental performance.
