MAXAM Tire has introduced a new 45/65R45 size to its MS501 MineXtra L5 series, designed for wheel loaders and heavy-duty mining equipment operating in demanding environments. The addition builds on the company’s presence in the off-the-road (OTR) sector, targeting operators in mining and quarrying who require durable, high-traction solutions. The MS501 is engineered to provide longevity and reliability, with an extra-deep L5 tread pattern and reinforced structure to withstand harsh conditions and reduce operational downtime.
The tire’s design emphasizes performance under extreme loads, incorporating a wide footprint and square shoulder for improved stability and ride comfort. Enhanced resistance to cuts and tears is achieved through specialized compounds and reinforced sidewalls, which aim to extend service life and minimize costs per hour in intensive applications.
"Focusing on maximizing L5 application's resilience and durability in the toughest environment, we aim to amplify operational productivity. With the off-the-road market facing increasing demands and new equipment's technological advancements, the 45/65R65 MS501 addition is another indication of MAXAM's pledge to design only the most capable solutions for the industry," said Matt Fagan, Director of R&D at MAXAM Tire North America.
