Kleemann Technology Optimises Limestone Processing

Mohawk Valley Mining has implemented a flexible mobile set-up from Kleemann to efficiently process limestone at its quarry on the Alabama–Florida border. The operation faces the unusual task of meeting two different sets of material specifications for road construction in each state. To achieve this, the company uses two coarse screening plants — the MOBISCREEN MSS 802i EVO and the MOBISCREEN MS 15 Z — to produce material suited to Florida’s standards, while a MOBIREX MR 110i EVO2 impact crusher handles oversize material to meet Alabama’s requirements.

The combination of Kleemann’s mobile impact crusher and screening plants has allowed the young quarrying company to optimise efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and simplify operation through the SPECTIVE control system. “As a young company, it was great for us to be able to benefit from the expertise of the specialists on site when planning the entire process,” said Joey Rutkowski, Managing Director of Mohawk Valley Mining.
