Liebherr Celebrates XPower Milestone in Bavaria

Liebherr has delivered its 10,000th XPower wheel loader to BERGER Rohstoffe GmbH, marking a key milestone for the manufacturer’s loader series. The anniversary L 580 XPower is now in operation at BERGER’s Schlag granite quarry in Passau, Germany, where it supports the processing of around 200,000 tonnes of granite each year. The machine features Liebherr’s XPower power-split travel drive, which combines hydrostatic and mechanical systems to optimise performance and efficiency across varying tasks.

The L 580 XPower is being used for loading, stockpiling and feeding crushing plants in challenging quarry conditions. Its robust design, efficient drive system and operator-focused cab are intended to deliver high productivity and durability in demanding environments. The model’s Z-kinematics provide high torque for rapid bucket filling, while durable components support long-term reliability.
