Orica Digital Solutions launched Next Gen SHOTPlus™, an updated version of its drill and blast design software, at MINExpo Las Vegas. This new platform offers enhanced modelling capabilities, allowing drill and blast professionals to assess engineering decisions in near real-time. SHOTPlus™ has been used for over 35 years in mining, quarrying, and construction industries to support digital workflows and improve blast outcomes.
Next Gen SHOTPlus™ includes features such as predictive modelling for blast movement, damage evaluation, and vibration assessment. Powered by Orica’s Digital Solutions Platform, the system also provides a cloud-hosted digital replica for real-time tracking and collaborative design. According to the company, these tools enable users to optimize their designs while considering environmental constraints.
