BASF Offers New Flotation Support in Australia

BASF and FUCHS have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at serving the Australian mining sector more effectively. Under this arrangement, FUCHS will act as the exclusive market interface for BASF’s flotation and dewatering product portfolio, including the Lupromin®, Luprofroth™, Luproset™ and Drimax® brands. BASF retains responsibility for product development, while FUCHS will manage customer-facing services across the country.

The companies describe the partnership as a way to combine BASF’s formulation expertise with FUCHS’s established service network and market access. With existing commercial relationships in place and a growing presence in flotation, FUCHS is positioned to support product delivery and technical service on the ground. BASF’s Hydromet solutions, such as LIX® and Alamine®, will continue to be sold directly.

“Partnering with FUCHS in Australia marks an exciting step forward. Their well-established customer relationships and technical service capabilities complement our chemistry expertise, enabling us to deliver more targeted, effective solutions to the mining industry,” said Caren Hoffmann, Vice President Mining Solutions at BASF.
