Danfoss Power Solutions is marking two decades of production for its H1P axial piston pump, a product the company says helped establish the category of closed-circuit variable displacement axial piston pumps. Initially introduced in 2005, the H1P was developed to support globally designed machines, offering what Danfoss describes as a common platform of controls and interfaces across regions.
More than 1.7 million units have been produced at facilities in the US, Brazil, Germany, Slovakia, and China. The H1P pump is used in a variety of applications across construction, mining, material handling, and other high-power machinery sectors. Danfoss says the product range has expanded over time to include bent-axis motors and new displacement sizes, including a recently released 180-cc version with ECO Mode capability.
Danfoss describes the H1P as part of its third generation of high-power pumps and says it remains a benchmark in reliability, with benefits including high efficiency, a compact design, and precise control. The company continues to invest in the range as part of its broader hydrostatic solutions portfolio.
