Draslovka has entered into a research and development partnership with Natron Energy to supply high-quality Prussian blue material for sodium-ion batteries. The collaboration includes the construction of a reference production facility in Kolin, Czech Republic, which will support Natron’s battery manufacturing. The project marks a shift in Draslovka’s business focus, expanding its role in the energy storage sector.
The Kolin facility is expected to begin supplying Prussian blue to Natron in 2026, contributing to a planned increase in battery production capacity. Draslovka says that the partnership aligns with its strategy to develop sustainable solutions while reducing reliance on critical minerals from high-risk regions. The company is also considering further expansion into the U.S. as demand for sodium-ion technology grows.
“We are excited to partner with Natron on this project which aims to promote greater standards for sustainability and help pioneer sodium-ion batteries as a real, economically viable option for energy storage, especially short-term energy reserves and data centres. The commercial agreement with Natron is an endorsement of Draslovka’s chemical expertise which makes this project possible.” said Pavel Bruzek, CEO of Draslovka.
