Septentrio Introduces Mosaic-G5 GNSS Modules for Compact Applications

Septentrio has announced the addition of the mosaic-G5 receiver range to its established mosaicâ„¢ family of GNSS modules. These new modules are designed for size-constrained applications, offering a 60% reduction in size and 40% lower power consumption compared to the mosaic-X5 receiver. The company states that this improvement is aimed at expanding high-precision positioning solutions for devices such as UAVs, compact industrial robots, and handheld devices while maintaining their established standards of accuracy and reliability.

The mosaic-G5 series retains features common to the mosaicâ„¢ portfolio, including all-band GNSS technology and robust defenses against jamming and spoofing. Septentrio explains that these capabilities ensure consistent performance, even in challenging environments, making the modules suitable for high-volume, professional equipment requiring minimal size and power.

"The growing world of interconnected devices, robotics, and autonomous systems drives the demand for receivers that deliver compact, low-power, yet highly reliable positioning, even in the most challenging environments," said Jan van Hees, Vice President of Business Development at Septentrio.
