KSB Launch MultiTec Plus High-Pressure Pump

KSB Group introduced the first size of its MultiTec Plus high-pressure pump series, size 150, at the end of February. Developed for drinking water applications, the pumps are designed with a focus on hydraulic efficiency. They operate with synchronous reluctance motors and PumpDrive variable speed systems, which adjust output to demand, aiming to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint. An optional KSB Guard system monitors temperature and vibration data, transmitting information in real time to support maintenance planning.

With a casing pressure of 25 bar, MultiTec Plus pumps achieve heads of nearly 250 metres and flow rates up to 470 m³/h. Running at lower rotational speeds than comparable higher-speed models, they are designed for reduced noise and wear. The pumps can be installed in horizontal or vertical configurations with various bearing arrangements, and their suction and discharge nozzles can be adapted to customer requirements. Robust construction, flow-optimised hydraulics, and self-adjusting plain bearings are intended to enhance operational reliability while keeping energy and maintenance costs low.
