Siemens Expands AI Offering for Automation

Siemens has introduced a suite of industrial AI agents designed to automate engineering and operations workflows, as part of its expanded Industrial Copilot ecosystem. The company says these agents are intended to move beyond query-based assistants, offering autonomous execution of tasks across the industrial value chain, including engineering, planning, and maintenance functions.

The agents are built to operate collaboratively, both with other Siemens systems and third-party tools, and are expected to support use cases across process and discrete industries. Siemens adds that this approach could support improved productivity and help address skills shortages, with early implementations already in use across its own plants and with customers.

“In a factory environment, our Industrial AI agents connect different copilots and automate workflows across the entire value chain. This creates a unified approach that makes industrial AI accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical background or experience level.” said Rainer Brehm, CEO Factory Automation at Siemens Digital Industries.
