Immersive Technologies has introduced the LX3+ and LX6+, the latest additions to its range of mining equipment training simulators. The new platforms incorporate motion base functionality for the first time in the LX series, aiming to deliver enhanced realism in operator training. The systems are designed to support applications such as mine-site familiarization, new-hire onboarding, and emergency response preparedness while maintaining a cost-effective approach to workforce development.
The LX3+ and LX6+ are compatible with Immersive Technologies’ Conversion Kits®, which allow training across a broad spectrum of original equipment manufacturers, including Komatsu, Caterpillar, Liebherr, Hitachi, Volvo, and others. With features such as wide and vertical fields of view for machine control tasks and a compact, classroom-ready design in the LX6+, the platforms are positioned to increase training throughput and adaptability in mining operations.
“The LX3+ and LX6+ represent a major step forward in our mission to deliver scalable, high-impact training solutions to the mining industry,” said Karen Joseph, Executive VP of Engineering at Immersive Technologies. “The addition of the motion base functionality provides mining operations with a powerful tool to accelerate workforce readiness while optimizing simulator utilization and cost.”
