GeoMoby reports a marked increase in interest for its Real-Time Location and Communication System, with underground mineworkers emerging as a key driver of global demand. The company’s Bluetooth-enabled nodes, used to track personnel, vehicles, equipment and third-party sensors in real time, have now been deployed across several Western Australian underground sites. The system was most recently demonstrated during the 2025 Underground Emergency Response Competition at Norton Gold Fields’ Bullant mine, where GeoMoby linked underground and surface operations for the duration of the event.
At Bullant, 40 nodes were installed in 37 minutes, which the company highlights as evidence of quick and practical deployment in high-risk environments. GeoMoby says that workers participating in UMERC responded positively to the usability of the system, and the firm is now focused on scaling into major underground mines across Australia, South America, North America, South Africa, Asia and New Zealand.
“People know they are safer with GeoMoby and, around the world, mineworkers themselves are requesting our solutions. If I worked underground, I’d want my boss to install GeoMoby right now, there are no excuses in 2025 for not knowing where your team is always.” said Chris Baudia, CEO and founder of GeoMoby.
