RCT Supports Digital Transition at Plutonic Gold Mine

RCT – Powered by Epiroc – has delivered a site-wide digital upgrade for Catalyst Metals’ Plutonic gold mine in Western Australia, supporting the transition from analogue systems. The company says its AutoNav package has been deployed on existing Sandvik and CAT loaders, enabling autonomous navigation to help increase productivity and improve working conditions for operators.

As part of the project, RCT also supplied modular control platforms and upgraded the site’s communications infrastructure with its RCT Connect Wi-Fi network. These changes are designed to allow remote loader operation from light vehicles and enable real-time diagnostics and alerts to reduce unplanned downtime.

The new digital systems are intended to enhance precision, lower the risk of mechanical issues, and support more efficient and scalable underground operations across the site.
