FLS has received an order to deliver what it describes as the world’s largest filtered tailings system to an Indian miner and steelmaker. The project forms part of a wider plan to build one of the largest and most efficient iron ore beneficiation plants globally. The agreement marks the fourth order awarded to FLS by the same customer within a nine-month period, underlining the long-standing relationship between the two companies.
The order includes equipment that will play a central role in water recovery and operational efficiency at the new facility. The company highlights that these technologies are intended to reduce both energy and water usage, aligning the project with broader goals for sustainable mining operations. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for 2026.
“Winning this strategic order is another proud moment for FLS. Together with the customer, we continue to push the technological boundaries of size and performance across the entire flowsheet. Once all the FLS technologies are installed and operating, this plant will become one of the largest, most efficient and highest-grade iron ore beneficiation plants globally, supporting optimal profitability and providing tangible sustainability benefits in terms of energy and water reductions to the customers,” said Julian Soles, Products Business Line President at FLS.
