FLSmidth is set to open or expand seven service centres in 2025, enhancing its ability to support mining customers worldwide. New facilities will be established in Ghana, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia, while existing operations in Australia, Brazil, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia will be expanded. The company says that these additions align with its CORE’26 mining strategy, which prioritises service growth and operational efficiency.
FLSmidth’s service centres provide equipment maintenance, repairs, and warehousing for spare parts, helping to reduce downtime for mining operations. The company highlights that the expanded network will strengthen its ability to offer localised support and responsive service. A further expansion in South Africa is also planned for 2026.
“Our service centres serve primarily as workshops for improving or repairing customer equipment and can also have warehousing capabilities for distribution. With these new openings and expansions, we further strengthen our service capabilities and best-in-class service offerings to customers. We can do that by shortening the operational downtime for customers thanks to the service centres’ strategic proximity to mine sites and greater availability of spare and wear parts to local customers.” said Christian Fabry, Head of Professional Services at FLSmidth.
