Volvo Penta Strengthens Dealer Network

Volvo Penta has signed an agreement naming Swecon as the nationwide distributor for its industrial segment, covering subsegments such as mining, agriculture, special vehicles and construction equipment, as well as power generation and battery energy storage.

“The industrial side of Volvo Penta’s business has grown substantially over the past decade and represents today half of Volvo Penta’s business. In the beginning, it made perfect sense to have one joint dealer network for all our customers. However, today we see that our customers are becoming more and more specialized, and we need to follow the same path to secure the best customer experience”, says Hannes Norrgren, head of Industrial Business Unit at Volvo Penta.

Swecon and its contracted facilities within Lantmännen, will will manage sales, service, maintenance, and support for Volvo Penta's costumers in Sweden. “This is a natural step for Swecon, well in line with our strategy to grow our business”, says Hans Olofsson, Business Area manager at Swecon.
