Taiwan-based SEETEL New Energy has chosen Volvo Penta’s battery systems for mobile and industrial energy storage across the Asia-Pacific region. The systems will be used to develop mobile fast-charging units and transportable containerized solutions in 270kWh and 540kWh configurations, supporting applications ranging from construction and mining to emergency relief, medical services, and urban EV charging.
The partnership builds on an existing relationship with Volvo Penta’s long-term Taiwanese dealer JOU International, extending cooperation from backup power gensets into advanced electrification technologies. Volvo Penta’s liquid-cooled, integration-ready batteries, designed on the wider Volvo Group’s electromobility platform, are engineered to provide high energy density and durability for mobile use in demanding conditions.
“Our relationship with SEETEL New Energy demonstrates how Volvo Penta can play a trusted role in enabling customers to bring new energy solutions to the market,” said Volvo Penta industrial sales director Oh Han Peng. “By supplying proven, integration-ready battery systems, we help our customers focus on what they do best—developing and deploying applications that meet emerging needs in energy storage and electrification.”
