Bunting Introduces New Permanent Overband Magnet Designs

Bunting has launched three distinct Permanent Crossbelt Overband Magnets—Single Pole, Twin Pole, and Tri-Pole—designed to separate ferrous metals from non-magnetic materials in industries like mining, recycling, and quarrying. These magnets, mounted over conveyors, can provide varying levels of magnetic strength to suit different operational needs, depending on the size and type of materials being processed.

The Single Pole model offers separation for general use, while the Twin Pole captures smaller and longer ferrous metals and the Tri-Pole design allows for higher suspension, which is ideal for deeper conveyors and larger material loads, says Bunting. Each model operates using magnetic fields generated by magnet blocks housed in a stainless-steel box, with selection based on application requirements.

Bunting’s applications team evaluates factors such as metal type, burden depth, and the materials being conveyed to recommend the most effective solution for each specific operational scenario.
