AFRY Expands with Brazilian Project Expertise

AFRY has signed an agreement to acquire Reta Engenharia, a Brazilian company specialising in project and construction management services, particularly in the mining and metals sector. The move is intended to strengthen AFRY’s position in industrial services across the Americas, where it already employs more than 1,200 people in Brazil alone. With over 200 staff, Reta adds deep local experience to AFRY’s global platform.

Operating across several industries, Reta is known for its capabilities in managing capital investment projects, site supervision, and early-phase project development. AFRY says the acquisition aligns with its strategy to support the industrial and energy transition by securing expertise in sectors critical to sustainable development.

“This is a strategic step for AFRY as we expand our footprint in the Americas. Brazil plays a vital role in sustainable industrial development, and Reta’s capabilities will strengthen our position from the early stages of client projects.” said Nicholas Oksanen, EVP and Head of Global Division Industry at AFRY.
