Peak Iron Mines has adopted acQuire’s GIM Essentials to modernise geological data management at its Hawks Nest Iron Ore project in South Australia. The privately owned company is aiming to develop the region’s highest-grade magnetite operation and required a system that could handle large volumes of drilling and assay data with greater efficiency and accuracy.
acQuire’s GIM Essentials provided a scalable, cloud-based solution for capturing, validating, and managing exploration data directly in the field. According to Peak Iron, the platform has helped reduce manual errors, improve sample tracking, and enable faster decision-making during active drill programs.
“With GIM Essentials we now have a fully integrated end to end data collection, validation and management system. In the field we place a Starlink system at each remote drill rig and directly enter the drill logs and detail into the database in real time. A simple one stop shop and a huge increase in our field exploration productivity.” said Dwayne Povey, Mineral Resource Manager at Peak Iron.
