CDE is preparing to install its first X5 ProPress in Australia later this year, marking the global debut of its largest filter press model. Originally launched at Hillhead 2024 in the UK, the ProPress is designed to enhance efficiency in wet processing operations by maximising water recovery and reducing reliance on freshwater sources. The installation highlights CDE’s continued focus on innovation and sustainable water management within the waste recycling and natural processing sectors.
The ProPress X5 introduces several design advancements including dual sludge feed for faster cycle times, larger plates for higher throughput, and integrated automation that reduces manual intervention and maintenance downtime. It is engineered to enable up to 95% of process water to be recycled, supporting operations where space and water scarcity are major concerns.
“The ProPress is our response to minimising freshwater dependency and maximising water recycling, all while improving processing capacity, reducing operating costs, and minimising maintenance downtime. This technology will be key for our customers in regions where water resources are particularly scarce.” said James Murphy, CDE’s Head of Business Development for Asia Pacific.
