Wet processing specialist CDE has released its 2024 sustainability report, outlining the company’s performance and priorities across environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance. The report sets out measurable targets, including a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and full net zero by 2050. CDE also aims to reduce steel scrap waste and water consumption by 10% by 2025, with measures supported by green energy contracts, rainwater harvesting systems, and other carbon reduction strategies.
The report highlights CDE’s internal initiatives to support employee wellbeing and mental health, alongside wider community engagement through STEM outreach and volunteering. The company notes that sustainability is embedded throughout its operations and underpinned by a dedicated taskforce aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
