Hexagon to Acquire Septentrio

Hexagon has announced an agreement to acquire Septentrio NV, a leading provider of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies. The acquisition aims to enhance Hexagon’s Resilient Assured Positioning solutions and extend its reach across mission-critical navigation and autonomy applications.

Septentrio's GNSS platform will integrate with Hexagon's positioning technologies, including sensor fusion, anti-jamming, and correction services. This combination is expected to support applications in robotics, UAVs, and autonomy while addressing new market segments. Septentrio will continue to supply its GNSS products to its existing OEM customer base.

“The combination of Hexagon and Septentrio will transform the positioning industry across existing and new markets, setting new standards for the accuracy, resilience, and scalability of positioning technologies, necessary to support and accelerate the journey towards full autonomy.” said Norbert Hanke, interim President and CEO of Hexagon AB.
