ABB Showcases Solutions for Enhanced Safety, Reliability, and Efficiency at MINExpo

ABB will present its range of electric motors, variable speed drives, and e-mobility solutions tailored for the mining industry at MINExpo 2024. Focused on electrifying mining vehicle drivetrains and digitally connecting systems, these solutions are designed to cut operating costs, increase energy efficiency, and lower carbon emissions. ABB’s technologies, combined with on-demand support from a global expert network, are helping drive the industry’s shift toward decarbonization and more sustainable operations, says the company.

Among the innovations to be highlighted are the Crush+ motor, engineered for severe-duty environments, and the SynRM motor, which achieves efficiency up to IE6 without relying on magnets. Additionally, the Baldor-Reliance SP4 motor will be showcased, meeting NEMA Super Premium® efficiency levels, alongside the RXT MTO motor, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of mining.
