Liebherr-Australia Delivers R 9800 Excavator to Roy Hill

Liebherr-Australia has delivered an R 9800 excavator to Roy Hill as part of a new partnership between the two companies. The 800-tonne machine is the second of three Liebherr excavators joining Roy Hill’s operations in the Pilbara, Western Australia. To highlight Roy Hill’s commitment to breast cancer awareness, the bucket and counterweight of the R 9800 were painted pink, aligning with the company’s existing fleet of pink machinery.

Liebherr-Australia says its Perth-based team will provide onsite and remote support to ensure high machine availability. A team of product support advisors and technicians is embedded at the mine site, delivering maintenance, repairs, and technical assistance. Roy Hill cites Liebherr’s reputation for durability, fuel efficiency, and operator comfort as key factors in its decision to add these machines to its fleet.
