Komatsu America Corp. has announced that Rod Schrader will step down as Chairman and CEO on March 31, with his full retirement set for June 30, 2025. Rod Bull, currently Executive Vice President for Komatsu’s North America region, will assume the role of CEO of Komatsu North America Corp. on April 1. The company says that Bull brings nearly 25 years of industry leadership experience, including 14 years with Komatsu, and has held key roles in regional management, product distribution, and mining operations.
Schrader has been with Komatsu since 1987 and has led the company’s North American operations since 2012. During his tenure, the company expanded its mining equipment business, strengthened its dealer network, and introduced new technology solutions. Komatsu adds that Bull, who has held senior leadership roles in construction and mining, will continue to drive strategic growth and innovation.
“Komatsu has a strong legacy of innovation and excellence, and I am honored to step into the role of CEO. I look forward to working with our employees, customers, dealers, and other partners to build on our success and continue driving growth in the years ahead.” said Rod Bull.
