Komatsu has announced a major investment to expand its Canadian operations with the development of a full-service parts distribution centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The new 135,000-square-foot facility will double the capacity of the existing warehouse, transforming it into a key hub within Komatsu’s North American logistics network. The expansion is intended to improve parts availability, shorten lead times and strengthen support for dealers and customers across Canada’s mining, forestry and construction sectors.
The upgraded centre will feature advanced system integration with Komatsu’s global warehouse management platforms, automation to enhance operational efficiency, and expanded storage for fast-moving parts. The company also plans to increase staffing levels to meet the demands of the larger facility, which will serve as a cornerstone of its regional service infrastructure.
“Our customers rely on Komatsu for uptime and productivity, and this investment ensures we can meet those expectations faster and more efficiently than ever. By bringing parts closer to where our customers operate, we’re cutting lead times, boosting availability and improving customer service.” said Danny Murtagh, Vice President of Parts and Infrastructure.
