Komatsu has broken ground on a new 215,000 square foot mining sales and service facility in Mesa, Arizona. The company says the development will triple its current footprint in the area and support both existing and future customers across the Southwestern U.S. Completion is scheduled for summer 2026.
The facility, located near the airport in southeast Mesa, represents an $80 million investment. Komatsu adds that the expansion reflects its long-term commitment to the region’s mining sector, particularly as demand for copper and other critical minerals increases.
“As the copper industry continues to grow, Arizona is at the heart of that momentum. Expanding our presence in the Mesa area positions us to support our customers and partners in a region that’s leading the way in critical mineral production.” said Tom Suess, Vice President of Komatsu North America Mining Stores.
