Caterpillar has unveiled its latest range of articulated trucks, the Cat® 725, 730, 730 EJ and 735 models, featuring upgraded interiors and a suite of automated technologies. Functions can be managed through a touchscreen, keypad or jog dial, while push-to-start with operator ID adds convenience and helps protect against unauthorised use. The new Cat C13 engine delivers improved power-to-weight ratios, meeting global emission standards and promising reliable performance across varied applications.
Safety has been a central focus, with Dynamic Rollover Protection working alongside existing Stability Assist systems to help minimise rollover risk. Additional measures include Auto Wait Brake for short stops, automatic traction control, payload management systems and an optional multiview camera package. The redesigned dump body aims to improve loading efficiency, reduce carryback and cut clean-up time, while the ejector option allows unloading in low-clearance environments or on unstable ground.
“Caterpillar’s latest machine design makes operating our next gen articulated trucks feel more comfortable, responsive, and user-friendly than ever. With the introduction of the Cat C13B engine on the 725, the improved power-to-weight ratio means it is up to 14% more efficient on our Tier 4 Final [and equivalent] machines.” said Sherrie Williams, Global Product Application Specialist at Caterpillar.
