Metso has received repeat orders worth around EUR 10 million for concentrate and tailings filtration, booked in the third quarter of 2025. Most of the contracts involve filter modernizations and upgrades, while some include full replacement of HRT thickeners with Reactorwell™ and Thickener Vane Feedwell™ systems from the Metso Plus portfolio. So far this year, modernization orders in this area total roughly EUR 60 million.
The company points to increased interest in filtration and thickening driven by reliability, proactive maintenance, and water management initiatives. Its portfolio includes 16 filter types, with more than 80% part of the Metso Plus line, noted for water recovery efficiency. Earlier this year, Metso also opened a Dewatering Development Hub in Mexico to strengthen its manufacturing and product development in filtration technology.
“Proactive maintenance is shaping customer decisions, with reliability fueling interest in concentrate filtration solutions. In thickeners, growth is fueled by sustainability and water management initiatives, with older equipment being retrofitted with advanced technology to enhance reliability and to ensure cost-effective, environmentally responsible operations,” said Felipe Bañados, Vice President, Beneficiation and Dewatering Services, Product Commercial Support at Metso.
