Metso has begun the expansion of its service center and construction of a new training facility in Mesa, Arizona, with completion expected by the fourth quarter of 2025. The EUR 14 million investment will increase the service center’s repair capacity by nearly 60%, enabling OEM-quality support for a broad range of mining equipment, including crushing, grinding, and slurry handling systems. The training facility will feature advanced digital tools, such as the Metso Geminex™ operator training simulator, and provide hands-on learning opportunities to address industry labor shortages and enhance safety.
The expanded site will focus on both operational efficiency and sustainability, incorporating energy and water-saving measures to meet Metso’s emissions reduction targets. Additionally, the training facility aims to bridge skills gaps by offering tailored programs to support the professional growth of mining personnel. Together, these initiatives align with Metso’s strategy of strengthening its service footprint in key mining regions worldwide.
“Our new Mesa facilities will enhance our ability to deliver high-quality services and training, ensuring customers receive reliable support while fostering skill development for industry professionals,” said Giuseppe Campanelli, President, North and Central America, Metso.
