Epiroc has begun building a new distribution centre in Örebro, Sweden, designed to serve as a global hub for the company’s aftermarket products. The 29,000 m² facility will consolidate several smaller sites, enabling more efficient distribution of spare parts for drill rigs, loaders, and trucks used across mining and infrastructure projects. Advanced automation and smart logistics are expected to improve operational flow, safety, and environmental performance.
The investment reflects Epiroc’s continued growth and rising demand for its products, prompting optimization of its supply chain at Örebro, a central hub for manufacturing, R&D, and distribution. The centre is scheduled to open in the second half of 2027, supporting the company’s global network and the roughly 3,000 employees based in the city.
“The new distribution centre that we start building now is a key step in our journey to optimize our supply chain, which benefits customers and supports Epiroc’s profitable growth,” said Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO.
