Epiroc AB has received significant orders in Australia for advanced connectivity solutions to support mining operations. The orders, valued at over MSEK 250, were booked in Q4 2024 and include telecommunications infrastructure such as LTE systems, towers, huts, and power systems. The technology will enhance safety and efficiency by providing high-speed, secure bandwidth for applications like automation and fleet management.
The solutions will be deployed at new mines and for expansions of existing operations, helping to optimize productivity in remote locations. Radlink, an Australian company majority-owned by Epiroc since 2022, will enable the implementation. According to Epiroc, these connectivity systems form the foundation for other digital solutions, including collision avoidance and real-time situational awareness tools.
“We are transforming the mining and construction industries to become safer and more productive. Our wide offering of solutions within automation and digitalization requires robust and reliable connectivity.” said Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s President and CEO.
